About

Mo Holt (née Monique M. Scales) is an observational seismologist who uses natural and anthropogenic seismic sources to listen to the Earth. Broadly, Mo’s research interests include forensic seismology (with emphasis on nuclear monitoring), network seismology, and seismic sources. She utilizes modern computational tools, such as high-performance computing and machine learning, to process and analyze seismic data.

EaES welcomed Mo to the department in Fall 2021 as a UIC Bridge to the Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate.
