Four Undergraduate Students Receive the Rodolfo Scholarship

The Covid-19 pandemic has been especially difficult for many of our students and we are so happy to announce that through generous donations from alumni and friends of the department, we were able to award four undergraduate student scholarships. The Rodolfo Scholarship recognizes student excellence and dedication to the geosciences. This year's awardees Ellyn Leahy, Michael Holst, Gracie Fischer, and Keneni Godana have varied backgrounds and interests, including those who formerly studied and worked in the arts.  All of our awardees have found strong interests within the geosciences and have worked on everything from modeling mantle heat flow, investigating heavy metals in soil samples, and environmental health concerns related to pollution and climate change.  Join us in congratulating these amazing students.
