Kerri Gefeke and Natalie Kubik Win NAGT Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

The Earth and Environmental Science department is proud to announce that two graduate students have received the NAGT Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Kerri Gefeke and Natalie Kubik were nominated for their dedication toward student-centered learning by building student/TA relationships, encouraging deeper questioning of the material and thorough group work, and creating a safe environment for all students within their lab sections. Natalie and Kerri will receive a one year membership to the National Association of Geoscience Teachers, including a subscription to the Journal of Geoscience Education and In the Trenches magazine to help continuously improve their educational practices. Congratulations to Kerri and Natalie and keep up the great work!
