Undergraduate Students Jenny Bueno-Barraza, Ioana Stefanescu, and Cecilia Ras participate in SUGAR field experiment in Georgia

Three undergraduate women, Jenny Bueno-Barraza, Ioana Stefanescu, and Cecilia Ras will travel to Georgia for two weeks at the end of this month to assist in a seismology research experiment focused on discovering more about the tectonic events that shaped eastern North America over 200 million years ago.  The SUGAR experiment is an NSF funded project led by the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, and the University of Texas at El Paso.
